Born to Greek parents, Melbourne-based cook Mary Valle  grew up surrounded by tradition and a love of food. A love of travel, a rich Greek heritage and great skill in the kitchen has seen Mary become one of Australia’s most-respected authorities on Mediterranean cuisine. She often spends time in her family’s home in Greece and nearby Mediterranean countries, where she learns new techniques and recipes to add to her kitchen. Mary teaches cooking classes in Melbourne, sharing her passion and love for food with others and is available for demonstrations, speaking and panels.

Mary is the author of the best-selling cookery books ‘My Greek Kitchen’, ‘My Mediterranean Kitchen’, ‘Everyday Mediterranean’ and ‘Mediterranean Lifestyle cooking’.  Her fifth book is due to be released in 2020. She contributes to magazines regularly and runs culinary wellness tours in Greece.

She lives with her family in Melbourne.
